Global energy-related CO2 emissions grew in 2022 by 0.9%, reaching a new high of more than 36.8 billion tonnes. By some calculations, internet use accounts for 3,7% of global emissions, which is equivalent to all air traffic in the world. And this figure is expected to double by 2025.
